Movie in the Park rescheduled

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Roseburg Parks and Recreation on Thursday, July 3, announced a new show time for one of this summer’s “Movies in the Park” that got rained out in June.

Disney’s “Moana 2” has been rescheduled to Friday, Aug. 15, after rain cancelled the show on Friday, June 20.

The free PG-rated animated film can be enjoyed by the whole family at the Stewart Park Nichols Band Shell -- aka the “Half Shell."

Pre-show entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. when the Halau Hula Aulani Polynesian Dancers perform. The movie begins at dusk.

Bring a blanket and enjoy a fun-filled evening with friends and family. Roseburg Parks and Recreation cosponsors the free series with Rogue Credit Union, which will offer free ice cream at the event while supplies last! In addition, free tickets to drive through the Wildlife Safari in Winston will be raffled off.

HK Sugar Clouds will operate a concession stand selling popcorn, cotton candy and other treats.

All movies and activities are weather-permitting and subject to change. As a reminder, smoking and alcohol are not allowed in the park. In addition, pets are not allowed at “Movies in the Park” to help keep the event enjoyable for all.

Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
